Yes – the answer is yes. 36 hours into our research trip to Portugal, the answer is “Yes.” We can imagine living here for an extended period of time. We are not (yet) disappointed. The people are just as kind and welcoming as they say – even in this very touristy town of Sintra that is our first stop. I love the architecture, the colors, the light. I like the way it goes from quite warm at 16:00 (4pm) to light sweater-temps at 17:00. We like the melting pot of peoples from all across the world and the live-and-let-live mentality of the locals. Truly, anything goes and no one is judged. The trains run smoothly and on time. Almost no crime. And the wine… It seems criminal that such good wine is so cheap! Wayne says he loves the challenge of a new lifestyle. The language, the walking to everything, the smaller meals… Looking at everything we have done in the past with a fresh set of eyes. .
