Continuing a very full month of travel, we took off for a wild driving trip through the Dolomite mountains of northern Italy followed by a circle around Slovenia and then back into Italy with a quick stop in Venice, We saw the mountains in both countries in all variations of weather and they were endlessly breath-taking. We conquered hundreds of hairpin turns through the many mountain passes. In Slovenia, we loved the charming tidy villages, lush vineyards, and friendly locals. The chaos of our day-trip into Venice was a fun contrast to the serenity of the rest of the trip.
